Famous for his massively popular thrillers, John Grisham was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, in the U.S. He held a variety of jobs before going to university, including working in an agricultural nursery. Although she began her journey into acting in her college days, Blanchett went on to pursue joint fine arts in addition to a study in economics from The University of Melbourne, which was listed as 15 15th in the latest QS Masters in Business Analytics Rankings for 2020.
After completing her bachelor’s graduation, Blanchett soon left Australia to explore the world. After a few more parts in films and several stage roles, including one with the fellow Australian Geoffrey Rush in Oleanna in the film Oleanna Blanchett got her first big screen part in Paradise Road.
7. Ivanka Trump, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania
A daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, the next name to be included on the list of students attending business schools may not be the most shocking. The president’s daughter was born in New York City in 1981; Ivanka Trump attended Georgetown University for two years before transferring to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her degree in economics in 2004.
Although she’s now a major person in the family’s business and the U.S., the government Trump was previously a runway model for high-profile brands like Versace and Thierry Mugler. Trump has appeared on numerous television appearances and multiple foci on her life growing up within the Trump family. Trump has also written Trump’s book, The Trump Card: Playing to Win at work and life.
8. Lionel Richie, Tuskegee University
A famous pop star, Lionel Richie is one of the most successful recordings of the past. An important figure of the Motown period, he was signed with Motown Records in the form of The Commodores in the 1960s. About 20 decades later, Richie chose to move on his own and has sold over 100 million albums.
Growing to be a kid living in Tuskegee, Alabama, where The Commodores were formed, Richie was a student at Tuskegee University on a tennis scholarship. He enrolled for a master’s degree in economics. A genuine Christian, Richie also considered theology studies and becoming a priest. But he decided that this wasn’t the right path for him and decided to pursue a career in music.
9. Ray Romano, Queens College
The family was born in Queens, located in New York; Ray Romano is an actor and stand-up comic. Romano has said that he is seven-eighths Italian and one-eighth French origin.
